This has to be one of the driest years I've ever experienced. We didn't get much snow this past winter, but I never expected winter to have such an impact on my plants this summer.

I lost 2 trees and 2 saplings in my backyard. Most of my strawberry plants in the garden didn't survive. However, I was fortunate with my raspberry and blackberry bushes; they managed to bounce back.

Due to the severe drought, we can only water twice a week, and then there's my grass; my backyard is almost completely bare.

Due to all of this, I will not have a garden this summer, which is quite disappointing, but I can make plans for next year. I have a lot of ideas swirling around in my mind about what I could plant and how I might design my garden to make it even more beautiful than I had imagined. Perhaps I will incorporate some new flowers, vegetables, and herbs, as well as some landscaping features that will really make my garden stand out. I look forward to the opportunity to create a vibrant outdoor space that I can enjoy and share with my friends and family.
